TommiAnn and Chris have been working together for two years.
“Chris was working in the district first, but I worked in the building first. He came up from elementary, so this is the second year we’ve been in the same building together. It’s been wonderful,” T. Tromm said.
C. Tromm said that was actually one of the reasons I wanted to come up because I knew she was here, but I really like it here!
Chris and TommiAnn enjoy having each other in the building!
C. Tromm said, “It’s been an asset having her here. Just her role in the building in general. She helps out a lot of teachers, but it’s easier for me because I have a direct line for her to be able to help me when I need it.”
T. Tromm said it does make a difference when you have someone at home who understands both the challenges and the joy that you have at work.
TommiAnn and Chris did not meet in the school district. In fact, TommiAnn isn’t from Altoona!
T. Tromm said, “We’re both local and had many mutual friends. It took us a long time to find each other though after both growing up in this area. I’m from Hollidaysburg, but Chris is from Altoona.”
Working together is great for Chris and TommiAnn.
“We carpool. Sometimes when we have a really busy week, we get some time to see each other as we’re coming into work in the morning. We have those building couple minutes to debrief before and after work each day,” said T. Tromm.
C. Tromm said I like it. It’s fun to be able to know the same kids and be able to talk about our day!
