    Announcements for Monday, May 13!

    The “Kick Off to Summer Health”  one week after school camp registration is still open!  Campers will meet in the B Gym at 2:45 each day Monday, May 20th through Friday May 24th.  Camp will end at 4:45 each day.  Please join the Google Classroom and fill out the registration from.  If you have any questions, please see the 6th grade Mrs. Helsel,  Mrs. Weyandt,  Mrs. Sinisi or  Mrs. Mershiltz.  All AAJHS students are welcome!

     The AAJHS Girls Track Team brought home the gold this weekend and won the Middle School Championships with 54 schools in attendance! The following are the fierce competitors bringing on the victory: Inaya Bartley, Brionna Hudson, Taylor Lear, Claire Long, Adalia Lopez-Oakes, Addison Mitchell, Lucy Nagle, Jada Snyder, Emma Wagner, Evie Broderick, Leah Connolly, Emma Etters, Alison Farabaugh, Maura Farabaugh, Addison Harding, Cali Ingham, Cora Jones, Raya Potts, and Rowan Resig! Congratulations to the entire team!

    For anyone who loves animals listen up!

    Some 6th grade Leader in Me students are sponsoring a Central PA Humane Society Money Drive.  For the week of May 13th-17th, during lunch periods, bring your change to vote for your favorite animal!  ALl proceeds will go to the Central PA Humane Society.  Just go to your assigned lunch room, vote for your favorite using your change, and see which animal is AAJHS’s favorite! Let’s all be leaders and help out the Central PA Humane Society!

    FOR Club Members our last meeting will be Tuesday, May 14th after school in room 338. See ya there!

    Any 6th, 7th, or 8th-grade student interested in playing tennis should attend an informational meeting on Friday, May 17th in room 243, Mrs. Colledge’s room.

    Think Lab will meet for the last time this Wednesday, May 15th. Join Ms. Gardner and Miss Astle in Room C258 on April 17th – after school until 3:30. We will use materials to solve creative STEM problems like building the tallest tower out of pasta noodles and folding the farthest flying paper airplane. This month we’ll be competing to see who can build the best floating boat. All students are welcome and encouraged to check it out. Be sure you schedule your ride to pick you up at 3:30 if you plan to stay! See Ms. Gardner in Room C258 with any questions!

    Our final collection day for Friends of Rachel links is on Friday, May 17th. Please help us with the final push to get links of kindness all around the building! Help your teachers by filling out kindness strips to be eligible for the gift basket. The last gift basket is starting to come together; it should be a great prize for any teacher’s name that is drawn!

    Friends of Rachel members: please report to Ms Dodge rm 365 for instructions about this last collection and to get your class pass.
