  • In Andy Danish’s Renzulli class, students wrote an essay on, “What Does Patriotism Mean To You?” Patriot’s Pen annually sponsors the contest that allows entries from students grades 6-8.

  • Out of that class two eighth graders, Maura Skelley and Andrea Scott, placed in the competition. Scott placed third and Skelley placed first. Afterwards, Skelley’s essay went to the district level, where she won first once again. Then, Skelley’s essay moved up to the State level.  Students are waiting on results of that contest.
