~A dish to try on a holiday or a special/certain occasion~

The weekends seem to be getting longer and more boring.  It seems like there’s not that many fun things to do on the weekends because of how cold it is.  So why not make a treat to give to some friends or relatives.  Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brownies would be a great treat to make!  They only take about 45 minutes to make.  Store in an airtight container afterwards so they can be fresh for later.

Ingredients:

1 cup of all-purpose flour

½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

¼ teaspoon baking soda

⅛ teaspoon salt

¾ cup granulated sugar

¼ cup brown sugar packed

¼ cup creamy peanut butter

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 large egg

1 large egg white

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat bottom ONLY of 8″ square pan with cooking spray. Spoon flour into dry measuring cup, level with knife.

2. Combine flour, chocolate chips and baking soda in one bowl.

3. In another bowl combine sugars and remaining 5 ingredients, stir till blended.

4.  Add flour mixture, blend again.

5.  Spread batter in bottom of pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.  Cool on wire rack.
