~A dish to try on a holiday or a special/certain occasion~

This weekend there’s going to be a lot of people going to parties. The reason for this is because the Super Bowl is coming up this Sunday! Everyone’s going to be bringing side dishes, desserts or main meals to the party.  Why not be the one to bring the dessert?  The perfect dessert to bring to a Super Bowl party would be Brownie Footballs.  They fit perfectly with the football theme and they taste amazing! Store in an airtight container and bring them to the party so they will be fresh and ready to serve.  This makes about 12 football brownies.  This takes about two hours to make but this includes cooling time which is an hour.

Ingredients:

1 (20 oz. ) package brownie mix ( with chocolate syrup pouch)

¼ cup water

⅓ cup vegetable oil

3 eggs

1 (12 oz.) container chocolate frosting

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 tablespoon milk

1 tablespoon butter or margarine

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Line rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, with aluminium foil, let foil hang two inches over short ends of pan.  Spray foil with cooking spray.

2. Stir brownie mix, chocolate syrup, water, oil, and eggs in medium bowl until well blended.  Spread in pan.  Bake 28 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted two inches from the side of the pan comes out almost clean.  Cool completely, about one hour.

3. Remove brownies from pan, using foil to lift.  Cut brownies into football shapes, using a Football-shaped cookie cutter, 3 ½  by 2 inches.  Frost footballs with chocolate frosting.

4.  Place white chocolate chips, milk, and butter in a small microwavable bowl.  Microwave uncovered on Medium-High for 1 minute; stir.

5. Microwave about 10 seconds longer or until chips are melted.  Drizzle the melted chocolate mix over the chocolate frosting to make it look like football laces.
