~A dish to try on a holiday or a special/certain occasion~
It is officially spring and the warm weather is coming, slowly, but it is still coming. People are going to start having spring fever due to the nice weather. Why not make a spring treat to celebrate it finally being spring? The perfect spring treat would be a nice healthy berry fruit smoothie. Drink them right after you make them because that’s when they taste the best.
Ingredients:
10 oz. bag of frozen mixed berries (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries)
1 cup non-fat frozen yogurt
1 cup nonfat milk
1 tablespoon of honey
Directions:
1. In a blender, puree the frozen mixed berries, yogurt, milk, and honey. Blend until it is a thick, creamy mixture. (Add more milk to make a more liquid smoothie (optional).)
2. Pour into glasses and serve.
3. Top it off with fresh berries (optional).
