In John Blough’s ninth grade civics class, students have been working on a mock trial. A mock trial is when students receive a fake court case and pretend they are in a real court room. Students are assigned different roles in the court room and have to act them out. After about a week of preparation, students finally got to start their trial.  Students carried out their trial on Monday, May 5 and Tuesday, May 6. The case the classes are currently working on is a murder case involving the death of the drama director, Jonathan Klingeman. A different student is accused of the murder in each class period.
