Students should be safe instead of sorry

What’s the number one cause for death in vehicle crashes?  The answer is not wearing seatbelts.  On the buses, well at least at AASD, there are no seat belts on the buses for the safety of the students.  This could cause major issues.

Not wearing a seatbelt in a regular car could cause a human being to fly forward either out of the car or into the back of someone’s head.  On a bus, a student could get flung into the aisle and have severe injuries or even worse, going in to the back of the student’s head in front of them.  Seat belts should be added to buses in this school district.  The schools in our district haven’t had a bus crash or anything but it’s better to be safe than lose lives of many people.

The school could fix this problem by adding a seatbelt to all the buses that stretches across the whole seat.  It would be similar to the buses that already have seat belts in different school districts.  It would protect the lives of the students and prevent injuries and death.

If the school didn’t have enough money to do this then the school could start a fundraiser to help. There should be a change so AASD doesn’t add to the 1,887 bus crashes that there already has been and raise the number of people that have already been injured or killed from bus accidents which is 242. The school should consider this idea to help out the health of the students.

I agree, I think seat belts should be added to the school buses.
