Wrestlers Dominic Nardozza, Reese Hite, Dominic Verticelli, Rylan Horell and Luke Geishauser are ready for the season. The boys will be attending the first home wrestling match of the season.

Wrestling season is here! Seventh and eighth grade student athletes are ready to start competing! The athlete’s first home match will take place at the high school on Wednesday, Dec. 14, against Tyrone.

The team is preparing for their season by practicing and working hard. The coaches are helping the wrestlers with situational conditioning and teaching them how to break free of specific moves. This helps them to get out of the sticky situations they can face during the match.

“I think preparing them for the worst is going to ultimately help all of them,” said coach Dominic Williams.

Wrestling is a fun sport that can help in a plethora of ways. Although it can help with maintaining a diet, and strengthen mental and physical stability, it can also lead to the ideal practice of future sport interests.

“I started wrestling to help with my tackles in football,” said eighth grade athlete Rylan Horell.

Wrestling is a great sport to watch and can be very exhilarating! Come and support the team for their first match of the season!
