Ryan Villopoto overtakes the number three spot on the points board with the main event win in Oakland, California. Once he got the hole shot, he was leading the entire race to the finish line 20 laps later. Honda rider, Trey Canard, follows in second with only one point over Villopoto. During the second lap of the 450 main event, Ryan Dungey, Trey Canard, Andrew Short, Josh Grant, Justin Brayton, James Stewart and Chad Reed took place in what is now known as, “the crash,” of Oakland. The only one that got back on his bike was Chad Reed, who crossed the finish line in 12th place.
In the 250 main, Eli Tomac also took a rough crash. He lost his leadership to Ken Roczen. With Roczen being on top of the points board, his chances of becoming the 2013 Lites East Champion increases by alot. Which would be his very first title in America. The next race takes place in Anaheim, California, on Feb. 2, 2013. Watch and see who crashes or who goes straight to the finish line!
