This week’s throwback is The Wild Thornberrys. The show originally aired on Nickelodeon. The show is about how the family, the Thornberrys, are in a jungle and they are making a new wildlife movie. They are famous in the show due to their wildlife studies videos. The show is centered around the Thornberrys’ daughter, Eliza.
Eliza Thornberry is the younger of the family. She has a special gift that allows her to communicate with animals. She uses this skill when exploring the jungle with her family or when she comes in contact with a wild animal. She is intelligent, fearless and kind-hearted. She has to keep her secret power from her family. If she tells them, the power will be taken away from her.
Donald “Donnie” Michael Thornberry was raised by orangutans. The orangutans saw Donnie’s parents getting killed by poachers when they were trying to protect the animals. When the orangutan parents saw this, they took Donnie and raised him as their own. Once the Thornberrys moved to the jungle, the orangutans saw them and decided to let Donnie live a normal life with humans instead of animals.
Debbie Thornberry is the eldest child. She is seen on the show as a typical teenage girl who loves clothes and music. She is self-centered and she always complains.
The show was cancelled due to low ratings. I doubt that in the future it will return considering that it was cancelled because of a low amount of views and ratings.
One of the most popular episodes of the show is season three, episode nine. Here’s the link to watch it for yourself!

I loved this show! My favorite character was the little brother, he reminds me of taz from looney toons.

I watched the movie before I liked it, but it doesn’t beat the rugrats in Paris movie though.
