This week Reel Time is walking the line! Seriously, this week’s blog is about the 2005 film Walk The Line. Walk the Line is a country music thrill ride about the legend Johnny Cash.
“Walk the Line because it was all about Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash,” ninth grade country girl Jayden Starr said.
The film is all about Johnny Cash’s career. It goes from Cash’s early days on a cotton farm in Arkansas to his skyrocketing fame in Memphis, Tennessee. In Memphis Cash got to record alongside artist like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lewis and Carl Perkins.
“My favorite character is Joaquin Phoenix because he did an amazing job playing Johnny Cash,” Starr said.
Joaquin Phoenix is an amazing actor who has been in movies like To Die For, Return To Paradise, Quill and one of Russell Crowe’s most famous films, Gladiator.
If someone is a fan of country music or if they just like Johnny Cash, make plans to make them watch this film. It is truly amazing and it shows how even people who come from the lowest lows can make it to the highest highs.
