Seventh, eighth graders prepare for drum line next year
May 30, 2014
Each year, the students in seventh and eighth grade move up to the varsity drum line for the school. Since this is happening, they have to learn some new songs and practice the older songs so they can fix any mistakes they had before. World Geography teacher, Shawn Cerully, is the drum line director. He tells the drum line what to do at football games, assemblies and concerts. The drum line also performs in parades with the whole band. The band is broken up into sections. If each section played by itself, it would sound the same as it would with everyone else included.
