Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor

The Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor is a supposed liquid lipstick that dries down to a matte finish. This can be purchased on Amazon for $5.12, but I purchased mine from a local Rite Aid for $9.49.

The product comes in a frosted glass component, so the color you see in the tube isn’t the exact color of the product. When purchasing the product I recommend to generally assume that the product is 1-2 shades lighter than it appears.

The applicator is similar to a doe foot applicator, but in the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor it is more of an oval shape rather than a doe foot. I chose to try out color number 600 “Devotion” which is a mix of pinkish mauve.

Upon first application it applied really smoothly and evenly. Unlike most matte lipsticks it had impressive pigmentation, and it wasn’t streaky. The Lipcolor took one coat to apply. The Lipcolor does take quite a while to dry; this particular color took around 45 minutes to one hour to dry.

This sounds like an inconvenience, but it’s actually quite helpful. When lip products take long to dry it gives you more time to correct any errors you may have made in application. Also, when a product takes longer to dry, your lips tend to be moisturized for longer throughout the day.

I decided to purchase another color to find any inconsistencies in the formula. So I bought color number 635 “Passion” which is similar to a raspberry red. This color applied the exact same way, so I would assume that most of the colors are consistent in formula.

Overall I would definitely say that the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor is a buy and definitely worth the money.
