Trends are hard to keep up with, especially because in our world, they’re always changing. If you want to be able to keep up with them all, I’m here to help you. Welcome to the AAJHS version of Vogue, and the Walmart version of  beauty “guru”. 

This week’s inspiration is the one and only Camila Mendes, who plays Veronica Lodge on the TV show, Riverdale. If you want to, check out her instagram.

This look is actually fairly simple. This look is a cute summer look to get us all back into the mindset of July while in reality its actually -4 degrees outside… yikes!

The first thing I notice about this picture is the aesthetic (duh).

This pictures seems to be taken in the big city of California or New York, and she seems to just be chugging along on her own enjoying the day while someone takes a cute picture of her and her trendy outfit.

First, we can start out with makeup. You cannot see her face in this specific photo, but I am going to help you achieve something I feel would look good with this outfit. First start out with light face makeup, with very light contour and some highlight. Next, you want to move onto eyes. For this look, we’re going to go with a lighter eye look. First go in with a pink shade, or a lighter brown/ orange. Blend this into your crease and upwards toward your eyebrows. Next, go in with a glittery gold shade and add that onto the lid. Next apply mascara and eyeliner if you would like. Last, go in with a bold red lip or a subtle nude shade.

Next, her hair. Her hair is wavy almost like beach waves. In my last blog , I explained how to get these in a more in depth explanation. If you don’t want to go through the process of going back and reading it, or you’re a visual learner like me, you can watch this video , to learn how.

Next we can start out with her outfit. The first thing I noticed about her outfit was the backpack. These backpacks seemed to be very trendy and very popular. These backpacks can be found almost anywhere, and they’re very inexpensive.

Last, the dress. Black dresses are honestly a must have to every girl’s closet. This dress is perfect for wanting to look cute while just going around for the day or can be styled up for a night out. I have found so many black dresses in so many different stores and on so many different websites, but I thought this one was better than the rest. This dress   is honestly perfect for the winter time because you can layer to the point where you would still look cute, and it’s flowy enough to be worn during the warmer seasons as well.
