Pittsburgh Zoo’s Asian Lantern Festival

Red Ribbon week!
Super cooking fun! In October a food lab was held. Family consumer science teacher Kristina Rose, family consumer science teacher Mary Edmiston, special education teacher Sarah Horton, special education teacher Justin Genovese and English language arts teacher Katie Moyer worked behind the scenes to make this happen. Edmiston said, Students are more likely to try something that they were a part of making.

Bring out the markers! Eighth grader Ella Heverly sketches her design on her pumpkin. Heverly used smart thinking and pulled out an Expo marker so she would know where to carve. It was fun to take a break from news writing and get into the Halloween spirit, said Heverly.

Monstrous mummy mansion! This house on Third Ave. is definitely ready for Halloween on Oct. 31! The clown and skeletons activated as I snapped, a picture of the spirit going on the week of Trick-or-Treat.
Scary Spooky Houses!!
A day of fun! Roar-A-Palooza took place on May 12 during the school day, and it was for eighth graders only. Students got to watch a movie, put tickets in to win raffle baskets, eat pizza and snacks, participate in sports activities, socialize, relax and enjoy the beautiful day outside!

    I went there this year around my birthday I enjoyed it and there where so many things for many different mythologies

    I went there two years ago and I honestly thought it was kind of boring. Not my kind of thing. It just wasn’t entertaining enough for me.
