    Announcements for Wednesday, Nov. 15!

    The Circle of Friends Club is meeting after school on November 16th at 2:45 in Miss Moyer’s room 324. Make sure you have a ride at 3:45 when we are finished. It’s not too late to join if you haven’t already! If you have questions, see Miss Moyer. We hope to see you there!

     Our veteran’s collection continues.  So far, the totals are:

    For 6th grade:

    1st place: Mrs. Edmiston’s room with $111.02, 2nd place, Mrs. Hallinan’s homeroom with $36.68, and in 3rd place, Mrs. Kepner’s homeroom with $23.

    For 7th grade:

    In first place, Mrs. Petermans’s home room with $23; In 2nd place, Mrs. Scaramonzinno’s room with $20, and in 3rd place, Ms. Schlorff’s room with $2.

    For 8th grade:

    In 1st place, Mr. Jones homeroom with $90; in 2nd place, Mr. Garlick’s room with $80, and in 3rd place, Mr. Hatch’s room with $60.

    Remember, the top three homerooms in each grade receive a movie in the auditorium, and the winner of each grade will also  receive a Dunkin Donuts breakfast.  Donations can be made through the morning of Friday, November 17th.

    Please do your best to support our vets during this time of gratitude and giving.

     The Altoona Area Junior High School Drama Club is proud to present The Emperor’s New Clothes. Public performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, November 17th with a matinee show at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023.  All performances will take place in the Altoona Area Junior High School Auditorium.

    Attention All Students: There is a lollipop sale next Wednesday, November 22nd! Lollipops cost $1.00 each, and they come in new and exciting flavors!

The Friends of Rachel club wants to know what you are Thankful FOR! Write something or someone you are thankful for and display it in your classrooms or doors. Help us spread gratitude throughout our school!

    Attention Students:  The library will be hosting its annual Book Fair Wednesday, Dec. 6 – Tuesday Dec. 13.  You will be shopping with your ELA or Reading class.  Book fair fliers were given to you before Thanksgiving so check them out for your specific buying day and previews of the great titles we’ll have.  From the newest Wimpy Kid and Five Nights At Freddy’s to the Babysitters Club and best new graphic novels.  There’s something for every one at the book fair!  Any questions, see Mrs. McCaulley.
