Ninth grade students set up for social

Ninth graders, Braydon Farster and Cristina Evans work together to set up an arch. There were two different arches, but they were in charge of building one of them. They were putting in a screw to hold the arch together.

Ninth graders prepared for their ninth grade social. Students got out of class to help decorate for the social; however, in order to decorate, the students had to take a paper to each of their teachers and get them to sign it. They needed to put their grade for that class, and the teacher approved that they do not have any tests and gave them the make-up work.  Students decorated the gym on May 22 and May 23 for the social. After attendance was taken in first period, they reported to the gym. If there was a class that they had a test in, they were able to go upstairs for that period, then come back down.

This year’s theme was Black Light Explosion. There were many black lights put in the gym for the social. There was a lot of work that needed to be done, so the person responsible for it, Stephanie McAleer needed some help. In order to help with this, the students must have been on ninth grade committee.

Many ninth graders were in charge of making a Social Sign. The sign read “AAJHS Social ’14.” This sign was hung up along the curtains inside the dancing area.
