Speech Team will have practice on Wednesday after school from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Attention any student who is interested in cheerleading. There will be a pre-tryout clinic for stunts held on March 24 from 9 a.m. to noon in the auxilary gym of the high school. Wear gym clothes and sneakers. Tryout week open gym will be April 30, May 1 and May 2 after school until 5:30 p.m. Tryouts will then be held May 3 and May 4 in the auxilary gym after school.

All eighth graders who were invited to the CTC meetings must turn in their blue application this week. All applications are due by Friday.

There was a mandatory student council meeting on March 7 for all members who are eligible to attend the end of the year field trip. Anyone who missed the meeting needs to see an adviser as quickly as possible.

The school district recently added a program to help ensure a safe education environment for the students by reporting any concerns that may jeopardize the safety of the students and staff. It is an 24/7 anonymous reporting service. Reports can be made by going to the places on the link below.

Join students at The Clay Cup in downtown Altoona on March 13. Students have created hand-crafted mugs The first 150 customers will receive a free mug and a cup of coffee.

The chess club meeting that was supposed to be held March 5 was cancelled. The next meeting will be held Monday, March 24.

If any ninth grader would like to sign up to buy a box of candy, visit Mrs. McAleer’s room by the end of the day today. By selling just one box of candy, you will receive one free social ticket. Also, the ninth grader that sells the most boxes will win a $50 cash prize!
