    Announcements for Wednesday, April 24!

    The Lego Club is having its monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 1st from 2:45- 3:30 in the library.  If you are interested in attending, please stop by the library to sign up and be sure to have a ride at the main doors by 3:30.

    The maroon baseball team climbed the mountain yesterday to take on Cambria Heights and came back victorious by scores of 8-1 and 9-2.  In game 1, Brayden Pike and Vince Nedimyer laced 3 hits each, while Cohen Cochran smacked 2 hits to lead the way.  Owen Hileman picked up the win on the bump for the Lions.

    In game 2, Wesley Zitsch and Kruise Keith led the way both with multiple hits and solid pitching.

    The Lions are back on the road today against Spring Cove.  Great work boys!

    The Altoona White Baseball Team split yesterdays doubleheader with Bedford.

    The B Team picked up the 3 to 0 victory in Game 2. Alec Woodring, Eli Adams, and Thomas Brouse combined for the shutout. Ryan Aiken and Isaiah Stotler contributed with a hit each. Great job team!

    Kick Off your Summer Health with a week of nutritious snacks and fun games after school for two hours each day, 2:45 – 4:45 p.m.  The dates are the week of May 20th – 24th, Monday thru Friday, and all you have to do is sign up and show up!  The registration form is found on the “Kick Off your Summer Health” Google Classroom.  Get your pencils ready to write down the Classroom code……..tp234ii

    Also, there are posters found in each stairwell and the classroom code can be found on them along with a QR code to scan to access the Google Classroom.  The camp is limited to 50 students, so hurry up and sign up today!

    The library will close at 2:00 today.  The help desk will remain open at its normal time of 12:30-2:30.

    Tomorrow’s PSSA Dress down Day is Jean Day, wear a jean jacket or jean shirt and remember …….. Do your best on the test!  AAJHS is the best in the West!  Good luck to all of you testing!

    AAJHS will hold an IXL competition for the month of April, for ELA students in grades 6 and 7.   Let’s see which class can master the most skills!  Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 OVERALL classes, as well as the teachers of those classes.  GOOD LUCK!
