Season one, episode eight was the last episode of season one, and left me with a lot of questions.

On this blog, I will be talking about an episode of the Netflix series, Stranger Things, each week, including things such as, what I think will happen, as well as my thoughts on the characters and the events that happened.

Welcome back to Stranger Things! This week we will be talking about season one, episode eight. Unfortunately, this is the last episode to season one, and it left me with a lot of questions.

At the start of the episode, Joyce and Hopper are being held hostage by the lab agents. The lab agents are questioning them about Eleven and what they know. They then threaten them with drugs, so Hopper makes a deal with them about Will. They agree to let them go. What Hopper did was super smart and a really good idea.

The lab agents then let Hopper and Joyce go into the Upside Down to look for Will, as a part of the deal they made. There is toxic material in the Upside Down which causes Hopper to have flashbacks of his daughter who died as a child. This part was really sad because it was his only child.  Then, Joyce and Hopper continue to search for Will after the flashbacks are over.

Back at Joyce’s house, Johnathan and Nancy are preparing to kill the monster. They set up multiple traps and are ready to kill it. This part was super suspenseful because I was wondering when the monster was going to come. Suddenly, Steve, Nancy’s old boyfriend bursts through the door. This part was actually kind of scary because it was a jump scare. He says he wants to help them kill the monster, but in reality, he ended up leading it right to him. Steve is kind of dumb because he doesn’t think things through.

The monster then breaks through the ceiling and tries to attack them. This part was so scary because if I was in this situation, I would be so scared. They then lure the monster into one of their traps and burn it with fire. This part was so cool. After the fire goes out, the monster is no where to be found. This left me wondering where it went or where it is.

Meanwhile, at the school the kids are hanging out and hiding from the lab agents. Mike and Eleven are talking, and he promises to go to the school dance with her. They then kiss; this part was so cute.

Then, the lights start flickering and a passage opens up in the wall. It is the portal to the Upside Down. Eleven tells Mike that she has to go in to stop it from getting bigger. This part was so sad because she had to leave all her friends and Mike.

Eleven then goes into the portal, and it closes completely. Mike was devastated that Eleven was gone. I was so sad for Mike and Eleven that they had to lose each other.

Right after this, Hopper and Joyce exit the Upside Down with Will. They found him and brought him back to life outside the Upside Down. I was so happy they found Will, and I was glad that he was okay.

A month later, things have seemed to go back to normal. The boys are all back together and life is back to normal, or so it seems.

Will goes to the bathroom one day, and coughed up what looked like a black slug. This part was so gross, and I was wondering what it was. He thinks nothing of it and goes back to what he was doing.

Well, that was the end of season one. It was so good, and it really inspired me to write. It did leave me with questions like, where is Barb, and Eleven? Are they okay? What was the black thing that Will coughed up and is Will actually okay? I really loved season one, and I am really looking forward to watching season two.

Tune in next week to hear about season two, episode one!
