Hi, I’m Brandon, and I’m an eighth grade student at the junior high school and this is my first year writing for Livewire. I participate in cross country, tennis, and track and field. I always like to be doing something as opposed to just sitting around. I love watching movies like The Breakfast Club, Scarface and many many more. I enjoy riding my bike especially with my friends. Also, I really like walking my dog with my family; basically I just love the outdoors, and I can never get enough of it! My friends and family describe me as caring, funny and optimistic. I am always able to cheer someone up no matter how big of a slump they’re in. I think that standing up for what you think is right is commendable, and I don’t think people should tell you what to think or believe is right. I always thought that the quote by Babe Ruth, “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game,” was a good way to live life by. It reminds me that even though you might be scared to do something, I should do it anyway because I may really surprise myself.
