Hi, I'm Brandon, and I'm an eighth grade student at the junior high school and this is my first year writing for Livewire. I participate in cross country, tennis, and track and field. I always like to be doing something as opposed to just sitting around. I love watching movies like The Breakfast Club, Scarface and many many more. I enjoy riding my bike especially with my friends. Also, I really like walking my dog with my family; basically I just love the outdoors, and I can never get enough of it! My friends and family describe me as caring, funny and optimistic. I am always able to cheer someone up no matter how big of a slump they're in. I think that standing up for what you think is right is commendable, and I don't think people should tell you what to think or believe is right. I always thought that the quote by Babe Ruth, "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game," was a good way to live life by. It reminds me that even though you might be scared to do something, I should do it anyway because I may really surprise myself.

Sunderland participated in cross country and plans on running the 800 along with the mile for his track events. Sunderland says, “I am really looking forward to what the upcoming track season will be like.”
