White basketball team starts second half of season

When the team played Williamsport Curtain on Jan. 19, the ninth grade white basketball team increased their record to 11 wins and three losses.  In the game, Robert Corl scored 32 points and led the team to Victory.

“It felt great that I have a new high score in my career to try to beat,” Corl said.

On Jan. 22, the ninth grade white team faced off against Hollidaysburg for the second time this season.  Once again the team lost to their rival.  The next day they traveled across town to compete against Bishop Guilfoyle.  The team defeated the Marauders and every player got to play in the game.

The Saturday following their win against Bishop Guilfoyle, the white team traveled to Williamsport to play against Lycoming Valley.  The team defeated the Millionaires on their home court to increase their record to 13 wins and four losses.

“I feel good and I think our team works together like we should,” Maseon Green said.

On Jan. 30, the white team played State College grey for the second time this season.  The team won against State College to increase their record to 14 wins and fours losses.

On Feb. 5, the white team traveled to Johnstown.  The team won, increasing their record to 15 wins and four losses.

On Feb. 7, the White basketball team traveled to Mifflin County for their last away game of the season.  The team beat the Huskies to increase their record to 16 wins and four losses.  The team will play their last games at home with the second game this season against the Maroon team and then their last game will be played against Bishop McCort.
