Right now people are inside stuck with the people around them. For most people, they are spending time with their family or close friends. We all are not used to being stuck inside with them for days upon days at a time. There are many different things to do with friends and family  during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Most people don’t sit down as a family and play board games. There are many different board games out there to play that we just don’t pick up anymore or stick in the back of an old closet. Some classic board games to play as a family are Monopoly, The Game of Life, Scrabble and Yahtzee.

Normally people don’t have the chance to sit down and watch a movie together. It may be because a parent is out on business or a sibling is at a friend’s house. Take advantage of the opportunity and sit down as a family and watch a movie or two. Some good movies to watch are the movies in the “Star Wars” series, any “Avengers” movie, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” “The Sandlot” and “The Parent Trap.”

Many people want to get out of the house right now and can’t. Another thing to do as a family is go on a car ride. This is a good chance to get a little fresh air and spend some time together.

Another thing to do to hang out with family is go out on a short walk. Maybe find a secluded woody spot and go on a short walk. Two secluded spots to go to that are not normally crowded are Trough Creek or Chimney Rocks.

There are many different things that are different about the situation right now but having family around is a good thing.
