Hey, how is it going? My name is Kaya, and this is my first year as a reporter on the school Livewire. I joined this class because of my love of photography, although nothing is stronger than my love for Chick-fil-A. My favorite candy bar is definitly Kit-Kats, and I love yogurt parfaits. When I’m not traveling in the summer or going on hikes, I like to go shoping. My favorite thing to shop for is shoes. My favorite season is definitely fall because of the beautiful color and the lovely scents. I hope you learned more about my life and enjoy my articles.

"No. My electives are careers and gym, but I am excited to do more sports," eighth grader Gabe Harshbarger.

"Yes and to make new friends, meet new people," ninth grader Emma Skelley said.

"Yes, I'm looking foward to making pottery," ninth grade Avery Burchfield said.

"My new classes are good, and I'm looking forward to playing more sports," ninth grader Bradyn Patterson said.

"Yes, I'm looking foward to playing the ukulele," eigth grader Alana Mckinney said.

"Yes, my electives are art and tech-ed, and I'm excited to build," eighth grader Ajad White said.

"My electives are health and gym, and I'm looking forward to getting smarter," seventh grader Nate Kessler said.

"Yeah, I'm looking foward to doing wood work in tech. ed," eighth grader Maddox Blake-Wilinski said.

" Yes, my new electives are health and information processing. I'm going to learn more about the body," seventh grader Jaiden Krull said.

Line it up. A group of students sit at the table to line up their project. They made a totally of six pieces that they will eventually glue together.

Just right! Connor Whysong adds electric tape to his back tires. Whysong made the back tires bigger than the front, and all tires were made out of cardboard.

Make it smooth! Alexander Yost, Aiden Everhart and Jaxson Ferguson use the small table to sand. They sanded the side piece to their project.

First test! Randy Fernandez tests out his mouse trap car invention. They designed it from scratch with only the mouse trap.

Essemble! Kamron Arey tries to get his axel to fit into the tire. Arey made the holes too small at first so he had to adjust them.

Slice away! Zyasiah Smith cuts raw chicken up. Smith cut off all the fat the was on the chicken before cooking it.

Peel apart! Landen Hauser peels the skin off a piece of garlic. Hauser partner for the project was Dynasty Covington.

Rinse away! Devon Pfirshing washes the dishes off while the food cooks. Pfirshings group made a pepperoni pizza for their food truck.

Dice it up! Hailey Singer cuts up green and red peppers. Singer's group is made philly cheese steaks.

Slice it thin! Andreas Pentsas works on slicing the onion for his phillycheese steak. Everyone is foods had to make a food truck before the end of the semester.

Cook it up! Nico Burns stirs steak in a skillet. Burns had Hailey Singer and Andres Pentsas for partners.

Team work! Rebecca Dull and Jaci Clouser work together to spread the pizza dough out evenly. Dull then added the pizza sauce to the dough

Paint it up! Isaac Kratzer paints his bowl the color grey. He has already painted one coat and had to paint a second.

Clean it up! Isaac Kratzer cleans out the edges of his paint. He made a bowl out of clay and is close to finishing.

Mold it together! Duane Smith molds his project into the shape he wants. Pottery class only lasted one semester out of the school year.

Pin them! Altoona team mate Will Young makes an effort to pin his opponent. Young defeated his opponent and won a point for his team.

Team spirit! The cheerleaders watch as the two teams shake hands. They cheered the entire match being lead by their team captins. The cheer captins are Hailey Ratchford, Caleigh Rudy and Ella Strawmeir

Watch close! The ref gets down low and watchs to see if there is a pin. Altoona faced Williamsport on Dec. 20.

Watch and observe. The football players watch the game from the sidelines. The game took place at Mansion Park on Sept. 20.

Line up! The members of the band form a path for the football players to run down as the band cheers them on. Oct. 18, was the last home game of the season and the football team finish with at score of 29-0 against State College

Ready up! Both teams get in position and get ready to get the ball. The Altoona freshman football team pulled off another win leaving them undefeated.

Man down! Altoona player 22, Andre Dokes is down at the eighth yard line. Dokes then went on the score a touch down in the second quarter.

Food and fun! Many students gather before the game to participate in the tailgate. There was food, drinks, and face paint to get the everyone pumped up for the student section.

Get set! Altoona starts the game off with the ball. The freshman football team v. State College on Oct. 18.

Lets get rowdy! The band warms up the audience with an opening performance. They followed the performance up with the school alma mater.

Get the ball! A dog pile forms as the ball fumbles. Altoona then recovered the fumble.

So close! Central Dauphin East scores the first touchdown of the game. The game still ended well for Altoona as they won with a score of 46-14.

Lets go Altoona! The cheerleaders take action from the sidelines as they rowdy up the crowd.

Ready Up! The cheerleaders observe the game as they wait for some action.

Fly High! The cheerleaders start off the game with some stunts.

Coming through! As the band plays, the freshman football players ran down the middle getting pumped up before the game. They went on to score 6 touchdowns that night.
