Hey, I’m Gaby Sparacino, an eighth grade reporter. I love to draw, dance, play my viola and play soccer. Ever since I could write, I was always making up stories and reading them to my family members. From there my love for writing has only continued to grow. I’m excited to see what this experience will bring me and how it will benefit me in the future. I’m apart of the Girls Soccer Team and Drama Club. Focus! Eighth grade pottery teacher John King focuses on creating the vase. This vase had taken King two weeks to form.

King cautiously uses his fingers to fix the rim. His fingers glided across the rim to make the rim wider and more defined.

King watches attentively at how wide he makes the rim. His attention never strayed from the piece.

King starts shaping the top. He paid close attention to what he was doing.

King fine tunes any mistakes he makes. King fixed what needed to be fixed in order for the vase to be complete.

King uses the tool to fix the bottom of the vase. He was extra careful in this step.

King cleans a new tool in preparation to use it. He used this tool previously while making this piece.

King shapes the vase to exactly what he wants. He fixed anything he didn't like.

Eighth grader Baylin Smith said, “ Girls basketball because they’re a lot more eventful than any of the other guys games I’ve been to and I actually cheer a lot more at those, and when I don’t cheer those are the ones I usually go to because I can see more friends there, because I’m friends with a lot more girls than guys.”
